Day 01 - Arrive Cochin to Kumarakom
Arrive at Cochin, met and transferred to Kumarakom. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 02 - Kumarakom
Morning Visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Afternoon free. Evening sunset cruise on Vembanad Lake.
Day 03 - Kumarakom/Periyar
Drive to Periyar. The drive is perhaps the most picturesque on earth through the plantations of tea and spices, hills and river valleys. In the afternoon take a boat ride on the lake in the Periyar National Park, a 'Project Tiger' reserve. Overnight in Spice Village.
Day 04 - Periyar (Thekkaddy)
Morning jeep safari to Periyar National Park. Afternoon visit plantation, tea, cardamom, and pepper. Overnight in Spice Village.
Day 05 - Periyar/Munnar
Drive to Munnar (3 hrs) enroute witnessing the Power House waterfalls. Afternoon at leisure to explore the area.
Day 06 - Munnar
Visit Eravikulam National Park - the natural habitat of the Niligiri Tahr (a rare mountain goat) and Kundala tea estate.
Day 07 - Munnar/Cochin
Drive to Cochin enroute visiting Thattekkadu Bird Sanctuary, nestled in evergreen forest, discovered by the renowed ornithologist of India, Dr. Salim Ali.
Day 08 - Cochin
Morning free. Afternoon take a guided City Tour of Cochin, to include the ancient synagogue, Mattancherry Palace and St. Francis Church. In the harbor see the Chinese fishing nets and Bolgatty Island. In evening attend a cultural show.
Day 09 - Cohin/Vythri
Drive to Vithiri. Check in at Vythiri Resort - a part of nature, with unobtrusive native architecture.
Day 10 - Vythiri/Bandipur
Drive to Bandipur. Check in at your resort. Afternoon Jeep Safari to the Bandipur National Park. The whole area from Vythiri to Bandipur spreading into 3 states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka is called Niligri biosphere reserve, which is arguably the best remaining stretch of habitat for Asian elephants and encompasses an area of about 4,500 Sq. km.
Day 11 - Bandipur
Morning and afternoon jungle safaris. All meals and stay at resort.
Day 12 - Bandipur/Mysore
Early morning jungle safari. Breakfast morning drive to Mysore. Check in at hotel. Afternoon visit Mysore Palace and Chamunda Hill.
Day 13 - Mysore/Ranganthittu/Bangalore
Morning visit Ranganthittu bird sanctuary by boat. Ranganthittu is a picturesque island on the Cauvery River. In the migration season (June- Dec) thousands of exotic migratory birds wing their way to Ranganthittu and overcrowd the wooded area on both banks of the river Cauvery.
Continue drive to Bangalore. Afternoon visit Bangalore, referred to as the silicon valley of the east due to the many information-technology companies.
Day 14 - Leave Bangalore
Today transfer to the airport for the flight back home
